The challenge of this blog!

I have been told
#1 I will never get high traffic on this blog without posting pictures
#2 philanthropy is boring - you need to blog about something exciting
#3 I hate the colors of your screen they are annoying
#4 You need to have more things going on

I am not sure that I agree.

What do you think?

  1. Hiya Tom,

If you enjoy being around positive people you won't find many more positive than me. Thanks for the comment on my blog, though I think you may have misread my words.

    Best Thoughts & Wishes, Shane.

  4. I think you're attracting a lot of negative opinions for some reason. Just keep doing what you believe is right.. and it'll work for you.

Thanks for your visit to my blog. I'm looking forward to seeing how yours evolves. :)

  5. Thanks for the visit.....The thing I love about blogging is you get to say things your way and how you see the world and that isn't wrong.

  6. I believe you attract the people to your blog who are interested in reading what you are writing. I also believe the whole point of a blog is to be YOUR personal weblog, so you shouldn't allow anyone to tell you what to do with it.

  7. yes pictures are necessary. people are visual. philanthrophy is not boring. black is slightly overdone at times but it comes down to personal preference... and i appreciate the feedback you seek out. however just be who you really are and people will find you, the ones that need to find you.

  8. #1 Pictures of what? Who wants pictures messing up the text
#2 philanthropy is pretty much what I do and surround myself with whenever I can. It's far from boring. In fact, it's kind of what makes the world go around
#3 Most people read from a feed reader anyway. Who cares what your actual site looks like if you have a full feed. It's content that matters.
#4 It seems like you have plenty going on. Motivating others to help their fellow beings is a lot.

  11. #1 I will never get high traffic on this blog without posting pictures- ur words already illustrate a pic in my mind. As long as uve the point, having pics or not is not a real matter.

#2 philanthropy is boring - it's what ppl generally neglect nowadays. Thus, it's good to bring the awareness back.

#3 I hate the colors of your screen they are annoying - i cant see what is wrong with that

Just give more effort on the content, eventually ppl with get ur point later on.

  12. Hi There,

Just my thoughts on your 4 points -

    1. Not sure about the whole traffic reason, but for me as a visual person I certainly do think that pic's help engage people reading a blog. That said, if you don't like them or want to use them - it is your blog after all.

    2. Ridiculous. It's not boring at all.

    3. I think the colours are fine, although I do find it hard to read what you have under your main header and I do think that is colour related.

    4. I think enough is happening here for my mind.

You say you are not sure you agree with the feedback you have been given, but don't say why. I think that would have been a good thing for you to state in your post.

    Keep blogging!
